In these tests, a scaled-down model of marine propeller is constructed and a propeller dynamometer will be used to measure the trust and torque of the propeller model, while the propeller is towed by a carriage at various speeds and rotates at various rotational speeds. Hydrodynamic theories, then, will be used to extend the results obtained for the scaled-down model to the real size propeller.
